The Auction came about in September 2006 when Pete & Craig bought an existing auction house which had traded in Timaru for over 8 years.

Pete was a trader with a level of business experience & Craig already had 3 years experience for the previous owners, so when the opportunity presented itself, it seemed like good sense to form a partnership & take The Auction to the next level.

We are a general auction offering a wide range of goods from Antiques & collectables to cars, boats, caravans, white-ware, electronics, camping, commercial lots, bedroom, dining & lounge furniture & so much more.

We deal with estates & on-site, private or commercial auctions with an average 550 - 650 lots up for auction each week.

We are open to the public on Wednesday's from 9.00am - 5.30pm and on day of the auction, Thursday, from 9.00am to the start at 12.00pm, giving ample opportunity to view, feel, test & satisfy yourself of what is on offer.
